Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a major cause of death and disability in the United States. This session will begin with a review of mechanism of injury, initial stabilization, and concussion evaluation and management. Whether TBI is uncovered on the athletic field or the critical care unit, participants will leave with practical knowledge to maximize prompt identification with appropriate intervention to minimize secondary brain injury and long term sequelae.

  7. Each quiz includes 5 items to complete in 10 minutes. Participants have a maximum of 3 attempts to pass each exam with a score of 70% or higher.
  8. After successful completion of the quiz, participants must complete a Course Evaluation.
  9. Upon submission of the Course Evaluation, your Continuing Education Certificate will appear for you to print and/or save in PDF format. We strongly recommend that you print or save the certificate immediately, as your certificate will not be stored in your account indefinitely.
