October, 2007: 

Dr. Barkley (read his bio) receives outstanding evaluations from two, closing day session presentations at the 2007 Annual Conference of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Dr. Barkley presented "Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Diseases:  Are You Up-To-Date?" and "Polypharmacy:  Pills, Potions, Problems and Prevention." These two sessions, attended by 695+ participants, received an average evaluation aggregate score of 98.76%!

October, 2007: 

Practice Guidelines for Acute Care Nurse Practitioners (2nd ed.), the leading textbook in the country for ACNPs, is scheduled to be released in December 2007 by Elsevier Publishing.  Dr. Barkley is the primary editor of this text, with the first edition receiving the American Journal of Nursing Book of the Year Award. This text is an excellent study and practice guide for all NPs working with acutely ill adults.
